The lovely resort Mallnitz provides excellent value for the price, and is thus destined for great things! At an altitude of about 1,200 m at the foot of the Ankogel (3,252 m), one of the tallest mountains in Carinthia. The infrastructure in the hospitable resort is perfectly geared toward winter holidays. With its small-town charm, Mallnitz is an ideal spot for families and those seeking relaxation.

And in culinary terms, the mountain offers total diversity. At the edge of the Mölltal Glacier at 2,800 m you'll find the highest winter garden in all of Carinthia and the panorama restaurant ''Eissee''. The enormous construction of steel and glass bethrones the so-called eternal ice, and reflects in its glass surfaces the mountain world from the Schareck over the Sonnblick all the way to the Lienzer Dolomites. The menu also ''mirrors'' the delicacies of Carinthia as well as international cuisine. This ''glass palace'' is also easily accessible for non-skiers via the Glacier Express and the Eissee gondola.

Apès ski is rather more quiet in Mölltal. Still, Carinthian hospitality is a top priority here. Some cosy lodges and snack stations invite the skiers to linger during and after a day on the piste. In the afternoons, ice skating or tobogganing provide an extra portion of fun. The evenings in Mölltal should be enjoyed in one of the numerous restaurants and inns, and later on, if desired, in one of the bars - the "Ankogel Bar" and the "Sportscafé" are waiting to be explored.
