Location
St. Ulrich am Pillersee lies in the Pillerseetal valley, 835 m above sea level, and is situated - with its 1450 inhabitants - in the mountains by a lake. Framed by the 'Loferer' mountain range and the romantic 'Pillersee' lake, the area is an island of tranquility and relaxation in the middle of the 'Kitzbüheler' Alps. St. Ulrich is a particularly child-friendly and family-friendly area. Quite close by, you'll find the 'Pillerseetal family land' - a fun & games area for the whole family.

St. Ulrich is surrounded by the Loferer Steinberge mountain range and offers 70 km of marked hiking paths. Furthermore, you can find cycling and mountain bike trails(interconnected to the networks of Kitzbühel and Pinzgau) for all levels of ability. The Piller lake offers many activities such as swimming, surfing, fishing, and a beach volleyball court. You could also join an adventurous horse-back ride through the picturesque Pillersee valley! The '2000 Child Activity Programme' offers a great deal for children to do: pony riding, a circus show, visits to a farm, Olympics with great prizes, etc.
The 'Pillersee Family Land' is one of the most exceptional leisure parks in the Tyrol, with many attractions for the whole family!
St. Ulrich in winter
St. Ulrich is a family-friendly ski resort with a snow adventure land. The skiing area (850 - 1500 m) offers 19 km of well-prepared runs for beginners and experts alike. Furthermore, there are many other activities available, such as 52 km of cross-country skiing trails, tobogganing, ice-skating, romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides or simply hiking through the wintry countryside.
For two weeks, St. Ulrich offers an 'Alaskan feeling' , when 'mushers' and their dogs are meeting at the 'Sledge Dog Camp and Race'.
