Winter holidays with best prospects! 60 km best prepared cross-country slopes guarantee you unforgettable cross-country adventures. At the 10 km family-pists you can enjoy the winter-sun wihtout hectic and stress. For beginners the Goldegger Buchberg is the ideal area. But if you prefer a greater skiing-area - 320 km pists and 120 gondolas and lifts - the sportworld 'Amadé' offerst that all. Since the winter season 2001/02 the Goldegger ski-lifts are member in the ski-area Amadé. With one ski-card you can use approx. 280 lifts and cable-cars as well as 860 km best prepared ski-pists in the skiing areas 'Salzburger Sportwelt', 'Schladming-Dachstein Tauern', 'Gastein', 'Großartltal' and 'Hochkönig'. A free bus shuttle-service will bring you to the 13 km away skiing-area. Walking through the snown winter forest is an event for adults and children. Ice-sports, luge-events, skating, sledge-tours will inspire you and everywhere you will feel Goldegger hospitality- Subject to alterations.
How to get there
By car: you take the motorway 'Tauernautobahn' to exit St. Johann im Pongau and from there the local road (20 km) to Goldegg. By train: to Schwarzach St. Veit and from there by bus or taxi. By airplane: the nearest international airport is in Salzburg, a small one in Zell am See.
Location
The small village enjoys a quiet position beside traffic and noise on the 'Salzburger Sonnenterrasse'. Surrounded by the 'Goldegger Moorbadesee' and the 'Böndlse' Goldegg offers all what you need for relaxing holidays. Goldegg is situated 850 m above the sea level and has 2105 inhabitants.
