Kaprun (786 m) is located at the foot of the Kitzsteinhorn, approx. 7 km from Zell am See. The area first became well known through the establishment of the first glacial ski area in Austria. The pretty houses lie in the shadow of the Kaprun Castle, which is considered to be the town's landmark. The touristic opportunities are large. Besides various descents for skiers and snowboarders, cleared winter hiking trails, cross-country trails and a unique landscape are waiting to be discovered. Fun and action can be found in the indoor pool, at the bowling alley or whilst paragliding. Those seeking rest can also relax in the sauna.

Après-ski is written in Zell am See and Kaprun in capitals. Snack bars and huts even invites you to a break during the day. We recommend especially the après-ski bar Schnaps-Hans, the traditional cottage Schmittenhöhe or Pinzgauer. In the evenings you expect many other bars and discos in the fun Zell or Kaprun, eg "Karambar", "Crazy Daisy" or "DIEL" you can turn night into day. Region turn night into day and many other activities such as sledding (including nocturnal), paragliding, ice skating, skiing or a visit to the sauna completes the picture. If you watch the world from above - you parachuting, delta-plane fly over the entire region or paragliding. A walk through the pedestrian area with plenty of variety awaits many cafes and shops.

The landscape is deeply covered in rainbow colors of fresh snow, sparkling in the sun. Enjoy unlimited skiing and snowboarding on the Kitzsteinhorn (3203 m) and Schmittenhöhe (2,000 m), with 130 km of trails groomed to perfection and 55 gondolas and lifts.
If the snow is limited, we have the perfect solution: 60% of the slopes are equipped with artificial snow, even higher critical passages until the Kitzsteinhorn ski area are provided with artificial snow if necessary.
Here you can enjoy 200 km of ski trails in addition to the trails at the Kitzsteinhorn (2,900 m) and mid-Zell am See (1,300 m), winter hiking, horseback riding, romantic walks over Winter sleigh Wonderland, tobogganing, paragliding, snowshoeing and many other activities. There are possible on frozen Lake Zeller, other activities such as ice hockey, curling and cross-country ski trips, skating when the sun went down, it's time for an after ski fun!
