Vent - quaint and hearty idyll!
You don't have to be partying endlessly to consider your winter holiday a success? Are you looking for relaxation and a lovely, unique mountain panorama? Then you will surely find Vent to be exactly what you are looking for. A warm welcoming, great hospitality and a special location await you here. Surrounded by the impressive mountains of the Ötztal Alps the Waldspitze, Similaun and other peaks attract many mountaineers, snowshoe hikers and especially families every year. Let yourself be pampered and relax from everyday life in cosy guest houses or during a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride.
SkiThis resort should not be underestimated, and this also applies to the ski area Vent. A total of 15 km of piste, comprising 5 km of easy and 10 km of intermediate slopes, offering ideal snow conditions due to the high alpine location. Numerous sunshine hours promise pure nature enjoyment for both beginners and advanced winter sports enthusiasts swinging down between the mountain station "Wilder Mann" to the valley station "Wildspitze". Long waiting periods at the lifts and pushy rowdies are no where to be found here and therefore especially families will value the region. If you are looking for a manageable amount of pistes, well-prepared and away from the big hustle and bustle, then you are sure to find what you are looking for here.
In Vent everything is very much as quiet as is used to be, however you still need not miss out on an entertaining evening programme. The cosy guest houses offer culinary specialities and in "Postkastl" you can even find a bit of apres ski. If you rather prefer a bit more action you can try out the 5 km long toboggan run, which is torch-illuminated every Monday evening. A snowshoe hike around the Ötztal Alps (typical for this region) is an unmissable highlight, offering wonderful panorama views of the surrounding ice world sure to enchant even the most experienced hikers. Of course you can also take a detour to the party hotspot Sölden from here.
You can leave your car at the valley station and easily access the 2 km of trails from there. Starting with the practice trail "Vent", located just below the church, you can then slowly tackle the first kilometre to get used to the sport, or just as an easy beginning to the day. If you rather prefer hilly landscapes with sunny areas and intermediate difficulty, you should try the "Ebenle". On your way to Rofenhöfen you will find the access point to your left hand side and experience a lovely snowy trail at 1,950 m altitude.
The trail network between Längenfeld, Gries and Niederthai has been awarded a quality seal.
