General information
Veitsch, located in the north-east of Styria, lies 669 m above the sea level in the Veitsch valley and has 2700 inhabitants. It invites you to stroll around the shops and linger in the lovely cafés. As well during the summer as during the winter Veitsch offers numerous opportunities for sport, fun and relaxation. A special feature in Veitsch is the pilgrims cross, which is the biggest wooden cross in the world.
How to get there
Veitsch can be comfortably reached by car and is well connected to public transport.
by Car:
FROM THE SOUTH: from Villach to Graz - Slovenia - Trautenfels. At the B146 to Liezen, at the A9 to Graz until knot St. Michael - direction Vienna. At knot Bruck/Mur - direction Vienna - departure to S6 with L116 go ahead to Veitsch.
by Train:

The nearest airports are in Vienna and Graz.

Graz approx. 100 km and Vienna approx. 140 km.
Summer resort
Because of the position Veitsch has a lot of good activities available. From hiking to schwimming and from cycling to playing tennis everything is possible. But Veitsch doesn't only have sport activities but also relaxing and regeneration is important. Therefore you can make a walk through the forests around Veitsch.
