General information
Turrach, with its 1027 inhabitants, is situated at an altitude of between 900 and 1763 m, close to a skiing area.
Exactly the right place for those seeking relaxation! Numerous sporting possibilities mean that boredom doesn't stand a chance here. Alongside these opportunities, you could visit the Montan museum, which diplays relics from days gone by, when Turrach was still a mining community. The church in the area is worth seeing for its wooden coffered ceiling alone.
The sunny and mild mountain climate, the fascinating landscape, and the extremely hospitable atmosphere guarantess relaxing and fun-packed holiday days.
How to get there
By car:
From Graz or Vienna, take the Murtal main road to Judenburg, and from there take the B96 to Scheifling. Travel further to Murau, then follow the B97 for 22 km to Predlitz.
By train:
Take an ÖBB train to Unzwarkt, then take a Styrian local train to Predlitz-Turracher Höhe.
By plane:

Summer resort
The 'Panoramabahn' cable car can take you up to an altitude of 2000 m, where you can enjoy the dream-like landscape and the magnificent view of the three mountain lakes. From the cable car station, there is the possibility of going on a mountain-peak walk, at 2360m, with a view of the 'Nockberge' mountains, 'Hohe Tauern' and 'Karawanken'.
Admire the biggest expanse of Zirben forest in Europe, and the unique alpine flora, e.g. the 23 different gentian varieties.
On the 1100 m long toboggan run, the whole family is sure to have fun. It's certainly not to be missed!
Winter resort
The 'Turracher Höhe' skiing area brings all sorts of winter sport possibilities. Skiers, carvers and snowboarders alike are sure to have fun here. NEW: two 6-seater chair-lifts!!! This area is one of the few ski resorts in Austria that can be completely snow-covered. The water from the Turrach lake makes a natural, ecological water cycle possible. The artificially produced snow secures all descents for skiers and protects the land from damage. With this system, skiing fun is possible till the end of April.
