Summer resort
St. Leonhard im Pitztal is a unique summer resort for mountain climbers and nature lovers. With its far-reaching walkways on gentle mountain slopes, leading up to idyllically placed alpine pastures, the Pitztal valley is a true paradise. These mountainous surroundings have inevitably made the Pitztal valley turn into an ideal location for moutain climber experts. The countryside around the Riffl lake stands for tranquility and relaxation. But the beautiful scenery doesn't have to remain hidden from nature lovers who can't manage the climb - the 'Rifflsee' gondola will transport you comfortably to it! In summer, the Pitztal valley turns into a huge adventure land for the whole family, where every day there's something new to discover. In 'Pitzis-Kinderclub', the little ones can experience games, fun and sport.
Winter resort
The 'Pitz-Express', the fastest mountain train in the world, has been in operation since 1983. It covers a 1120 m vertical distance in approx. 8 minutes. With the highest cable car in Austira, the 'Pitz-Panoramabahn', you can reach the 3440 m high 'Hinteren Brunnenkogel' mountain safely and comfortably. The Rifflsee ski area was extended in 1996 with the installation of a 4-seater chair lift, and so this area offers an attractive alternative to the Pitztaler glacier. From the bottom of the Rifflsee resort, skiers can be transported directly to the cable car station on the Pitztaler glacier - from there the same ski pass can be used on the glacier. NEW - EVEN BETTER SNOW GUARANTEE THIS YEAR: The 'Grubenkopf' ski machine is in operation!
