General information
Seckau is situated at a plateau at the foot of the 'Seckauer Alps'. There life ca. 1300 inhabitants at 46,26 km². The valley is very clam and harmonical because there is rather less traffic. One of the main attractions is the 'Abtei Seckau' which was built in 1140. In 1886 a part of the 'Basilika' collapsed and Ildephons Schober has rebuilt the two towers. Today there is a distinguished privat grammar school.

FROM THE WEST AND SOUTH: through the S 36 (Murtalschnellstraße)
FROM THE NORTH: A 9 (Phyrnautobahn) - knot St. Michael - S 36 direction Klagenfurt - departure Feistritz-St. Lorenzen

The next station is at Knittelfeld (10 km)
by aeroplane:
The nearest airport is at Graz.

It's about 100 km from Graz.

Summer resort
Feel the nature by hiking, mountainbiking, climbing or just relaxing in the thermae or in the spa hotels. Also families find a large offer to do.
The pond 'Weiermoar-Teich' is situated only 2 km outside of Seckau. The idyllic and natural lake amuses the hearts of water rats and naiads.
There is also an extensive area to bath in the sun.
For nodic-walking-enthusiasts there are different tours to go. Every tour ends up with sitting together in a cottage.

Winter resort
In winter there are very good prepared sloves for cross-country skiing.
Furthermore you can enjoy the wonderful ambience by feet or by horse.
The lake 'Weiermoar-Teich' is a paradise for iceprincess and playing curling stone.
