Neustift - kingdom of snow!
In the heart of the Stubai Valley lies the lively winter sports resort Neustift. The Elfer lifts in Neustift, the Schlick 2000 ski area near Fulpmes and the Stubai glacier with excellently prepared pistes, dreamy deep snow runs, funpark and racetrack all help make the Stubai Valley a top-class wintersports destination. And after a day of skiing, Neustift has even more to offer: first-class après ski locations, bars, pubs and discos to party, the leisure centre with pool and sauna to relax and cosy cafes and restaurants to enjoy. In addition, you'll find an ice rink, as well as bowling alleys for your entertainment.
SkiThe ski area on the Stubai glacier (1,750 - 3,210 m) guarantee an unforgettable ski holiday with its 43 kilometres of runs for all skill levels, 22 lifts and perfect connections around the 3,333 m pyramid on the Schaufelspitze!
After the extension of the ski area the 4-persons chair lift "Daunjoch" does not only offer new black pistes but also numerous free ride possibilities. With up to 60 % of slope down the piste "Daunhill" leads to Gamsgarten, over 3.2 km.Also the Rodtal is progressing: The 4-persons chair lift has been replaced by a modern and more comfortable 8-persons chair lift with weather protecting hood. The longest piste is 10 km long and an off-piste.
By glacial standards, there is a remarkable off-piste offering. Even the snowboarders get their money's worth, the Moreboards Stubai Zoo fun park is one of the largest snow parks all over Innsbruck and guarantees a lot of fun. There is also a lot to experience for the little ski dwarfs, they can make their first moves on the children's practice area with a magic carpet and the ski nursery will never get boring. The complimentary ski bus will take you comfortably to the valley station of the glacier lift.
You can have even more fun on the pistes with the lift pass "Stubaier Superskipass", with with you can enjoy unforgettable 147 km of diverse pistes (see ski region).
You are sure to find mountain magic in the Stubai Valley! A multitude of locations offer everything that the heart desires - from traditional Tyrolean mountain huts to village pubs with live music to the Shirmbar in Mutterbergalm at the glacier station. For sustenance there are mountain inns where you can stop for a snack, restaurants, taverns and cafes. Numerous bars and pubs, from cosy to exclusive, invite you to prepare for an entertaining evening or a fitting finale to a good day on the slopes.
A total of approx. 80 kilometres of cross-country trails around Neustift and even 130 km in the whole Stubai Valley make sure that all Nordic skiers have great holiday! The 60 km valley trail leads through the Stubai Valley and offers beautiful and diverse types trail. If there should be too little snow in the valley, you can easily switch to the Stubai glacier. The charge for the 2 km long round trail of Gamsgarten (2,650 - 2,670 m, 4.5 km) is included in the lift pass. Here the cross-country skiing season lasts from November to May!
Further high-altitude trails are the "Schlick 2000" in Fulpmes (3.5 km), the beginners run in Mieders (5 km) and the "Kaiserloipe" in Mieders (10 km). The "Kaiserloipe" can only be recommended to experienced skiers. You'll also enjoy the trails at the plateau near Maria Waldrast: The tracks lead through beautiful sceneries and, if you haven't yet had your fill, you can access the Mieders and Fulpmes high-altitude trails in just a few minutes!
