How to get there
By car: coming from west via Sillian, Lienz to Lavant. From the south via 'Plöckenpass', Kötschach and Oberdrauburg to Lavant. From the nord via Felbertauern, Lienz to Lavant. From the east via motorway til exit Spittal an der Drau and then local road to Lavant. By train: to Lienz and from there by taxi. By airplane: the nearest airports are in Klagenfurt and Innsbruck.
Lavant in summer
Summer in Lavant means pure sun! Take a fresh bath in the 'Tristacher See' or at the swimmin-bath in Lienz. You can hike through forests and silent valleys or you go up to the mountains around Lavant. Biking along the Drau is an event for the whole family. Mountainbiking up to the mountains will inspire you as well. Further, if you like culture, the little church of Maria Lavant or a visit to the sunny town Lienz, which already has italian flair, will be unforgettable for you.
Lavant in winter
Here you can fullfill your winter-dreams! 2 well prepared skiing-areas, Zettersfeld and Hochstein, will offer you piste-entertainment for the whole family. Cross-country slopes along the river Drau will invite you. And whats winter-holidays without luge-events or sakating? Lavant will offer both to you. Sledge-tours through the snown nature are always a special adventure. And at the evening you will appreciate the several restaurants, which offer 'Osttiroler' cuisine. You will be inspired. Location
