Austria's highest located winter sports resort is located at 2,020 m and is only approx. 30 km from Innsbruck. Thanks to the altitude you can expect perfect snow conditions from December until the beginning of May and if the snow line goes low enough you can also ski down to accommodation or even start your skiing day directly in front of the door. The discovery of this resort as a ski station actually occurred more than 100 years ago. Today the resort presents itself as cosy village with hotel and apartment houses, and diverse offer of apres ski facilities.
SkiIn the ski area Kühtai you can enjoy a total of 44 km of wonderfully prepared pistes, accessible via 13 modern lifts, including an 8-person gondola and 3 chair lifts with weather protection hoods. If the snow level is low enough you can most likely ski right down to the door of your accommodation.

Twice per week you can enjoy skiing into the evening hours. On Wednesdays and Saturdays the flood lights are turned on at the HochAlter lift to make the pistes accessible until 22:30.
Every lift pass picked up in Kühtai, is also valid in Hochoetz and offers additional 41 km of perfectly prepared pistes.

Or you can go on a horse-drawn sleigh ride at the Kühtai saddle. Snowshoe hikes and skating on the ice rink are also part of the leisure time offers.
