About Kramsach - presentation, information, photos and recommendations
Kramsach - holiday in the heart of Tyrol!
The community of Kramsach (520 m) lies in Tyrol's lower Inn Valley, on the northern shore of the Inn, and scatters itself on the alluvial fan of the Brandenberger Ache across from Rattenberg. Due to the six surrounding lakes, it is also known as "Seendorf" (Village of Lakes), and offers the perfect atmosphere for a rejuvenating holiday. Numerous leisure activities, e.g. ice skating or ice hockey on a frozen lake ensure entertainment, and restaurants, lodges and typical taverns offer culinary variety. Kramsach has specialised itself on beginners and skiers wanting a refresher, but also has a large range available for advanced skiers, snowboarders and cross-country fans. With the Sonnwendjoch chairlift, you soar up from 520 to 1,900 m, directly up into a skiing and snowy heaven.
SkiDue to the interconnection of the ski areas Wildschönau and Alpachtal, accessible with the new gondola, the lift pass "Ski Juwel" offers 109 km of piste, incl ski routes. With this lift pass you have access to the ski areas Markbachjoch/Lanerköpfl, Oberau, Thierbach, Schatzberg, as well as Kramsach, Reither Kogel and Wiedersberger Horn. This sums up to a total of 45 lifts, located between 830 and 2,025 m altitude! Various levels of difficulties ensure that beginner, as well as pros can really enjoy themselves here.
Children can go to Bobo's Kid's Club. For families and relaxed skiers the Schatzberg is especially attractive or also the Reither Kogel, whilst ambitious skiers can swing down the northern mountain side of the Markbachjoch and Lanerköpfl, as well as speed through various deep powder snow areas and free rider areas with 17 km of marked ski routes.
In Oberau as well, the various piste offers can be easily reached with the complementary ski bus. For snowboard freaks there are various options to run riot: in the snow park at the Wiedersberger Horn, the fun park at Schatzberg and the Race'n'Board Arena in Niederau - all offering loads of fun and action!
A great upgrade for the season of 2016/2017: measure your speed on the new Eva-Maria Brem giant slalom racing track at Reither Kogel!
A special highlight in this ski area are the 20 free Wi-Fi hotspots ("hotzones") it offers for all its visitors! Only a few easy steps are required to access the Internet and you can instantly supply your friends and family with your holiday news and photos.
By upgrading your lift pass to the Super Ski Card, you can choose between 2,750 km of piste and 937 lifts in 23 ski regions!
Which winter sports fan doesn't dream about being the first to hit the piste and enjoy the freshly prepared snow? The "First Line Skiing" in the Ski Juwel allows early birds to do just that. Afterwards, enjoy a hearty breakfast in one of the rustic huts and successfully start your day off right.
Après ski in the Alpbachtal begins with the comfortable retreat into the rustic mountain huts. Here you can start by taking it easy with a hearty meal.
After that the proper fun starts, with companionable fun! Après ski fans should definitely visit the "Gondlalm": The complete inner furnishing consists of gondolas! If that's too much for you, there are numerous restaurants in which you can be spoiled, as well as torch-lit hikes and night tobogganing to take part in.
Snowshoe hikes, guided winter hikes, horse-drawn sleigh rides and Bavarian curling are also offered. The Alpbach indoor pool with water slide, jacuzzi, solarium and sauna area offers pure relaxation.
Cross-country skiers will find two well-maintained trails in Kramsach, which lead beautifully past the lakes. With this, 8 kilometres of groomed track are available, at no charge.
The nearby areas of Breitenbach, Reith and Brixlegg offer further trails, so the surrounding area in the entire Alpbachtal offers a total of 100 km of trails. Some trails even were accredited the quality label. Alpbach offers over 21 km of well-prepared trails, from a medium to high degree of difficulty.
The 4 km long high-altitude trail on Reith Kogel doesn't just promise snow security, but also a great view of the fabulous winter panorama.
