General information
Hochfilzen, lying 1000 m above sea level and with 1100 inhabitants, is situated in the mountains close to a skiing area. Hochfilzen is a mountain village with an ideal high-altitude location and healthy climate in the middle of the Kitzbüheler Alps, the 'Leoganger' and the 'Loferer' moutains. It is also the venue of international biathlon events.

Free ski bus, ski school, ski kindergarten and sports equipment hire complete the offer for all ski enthusiasts. 53 km of excellently prepared cross-country runs lead through the romantic valley.
Venue of the Biathlon World Championship and World Cup, Cross-country Championships, meeting place of all nations. A real experience is cross-country skiing by night on illuminated runs! Tobogganing, curling, and winter walking in the 'Aurach' wildlife park complete the range of leisure activities available. In the evenings, join the Après-Ski get-togethers in the pubs!
