General information
Hart (550 m above sea level) belongs to the 'Fügen-Hochfügen-Zillertal' holiday region and lies at the entrance to the Zillertal valley, just 7 km away from the motorway. The Fügen-Hochfügen-Zillertal region is a huge skiing arena with a total of 480 km of prepared pistes. The whole skiing area reaches up to an altitude of 3286 m (on the Tuxer glacier). Cafés, restaurants, magical wooden cabins and inns invite you to linger here.
How to get there
By car:
through Munich - Kufstein - motorway exit 'Zillertal' (Hart is approx. 140km / 1hr 40mins from Munich)
By train:
Jenbach station - then take a bus or train to Hart
By plane:
Innsbruck airport (34km away) or Salzburg airport (154km away); then catch a train through Jenbach direct to Hart
Summer resort
The 'Fügen-Hochfügen-Zillertal' region offers a large range of activities, amongst which are the outdoor activity pool with water slide, minigolf course, Go-Kart track in Fügen, and the 'Schleier' waterfalls.
Or you could make use of the 100 km of footpaths through the magnificent mountain scenery of the Zillertal valley, the educational walks, riding stable, cheese dairy exhibition, tennis courts, game preserve, children's program, and much more.
Possible excursion destinations include Innsbruck (approx. 34 km away / 30 mins by car) or the Krimml waterfalls, reachable through the Gerlos pass (approx. 1830 m above sea level / 60 km away / approx. 1hr by car)
Winter resort
The skiing areas of Spieljoch and Hochfügen have 50 km of pistes, 6 cable cars, 10 chair-lifts and 15 drag lifts - a paradise for skiers and snowboarders. In the Fügen-Hochfügen region, a total of 150 lifts are at your disposal. And the area is no less sporty off the piste:
3 illuminated natural toboggan runs, ice rinks and curling alleys, shooting range, steam train rides, moonlit sledging, cabin evenings and ski races for guests, winter walks and approx. 12 km of cross-country skiing runs provide a wide choice of things to do in Hart.
