General information
Haiming lies, with its 4180 inhabitants, between 700 and 1600 m above sea level, and is situated in the mountains by a river and close to a skiing area. The area extends over 3 valleys: Inntal, Ötztal and Nedertal. Numerous sporting and leisure activities are offered in summer and winter alike. Enjoy your holiday here, a long way from stress and mass tourism.
How to get there
By car:
A7 to Kempten - Füssen - Fern pass - Imst - A12 - exit Ötztal/Haiming - B171 to Haiming;
Zürich - St. Gallen - Feldkirch - St. Anton - Haiming;
Brenner pass - Innsbruck - A12 to Ötztal/Haiming
By train:
Express train station at Ötztal (part of Haiming), with bus connections to Haiming, Brunau, Ambach and Ochsengarten, and a train connection to Haiming
By plane:
Nearest airports: Munich, Zurich, Innsbruck - each with good rail connections to Haiming
Summer resort
Haiming is situated at the entrance to the Ötztal valley. Apart from offering ample opportunities for hikers, climbers and mountain bikers, it is the Tyrolean centre for rafting, canyoning and wild water sports. Haiming also has an outdoor swimming pool with a beach volleyball field and outdoor tennis courts.
Winter resort
Haiming is located at 700 m above sea level and offers 20 km of winter hiking trails through picturesque winter forests. Also available, depending on weather conditions, are cross-country skiing tracks, ice rink and curling alley. A free shuttle bus takes skiers to the Ochsengarten/Hoch-Ötz/Kühtai ski area (1500 - 2200 m) within 15 minutes, where you will find 60 km of slopes and a total of 20 lifts.
