General information
The nature reserve Fusch an der Gloßglocknerstrasse lies 805 m above sea level and has 800 inhabitants.
The gateway to the Großglockner is known as the 'Großglockner Hochalpenstraße', built between 1930 and 1935. Every year, more than a million visitors make the 'Glocknerstrasse' an excursion destination of extradordinary status.
Fusch is rich in plants and animals, particularly in the 'Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe' area, where marmots can be seen. Varied points of interest, information plaques and educational walks accompany the visitor to the mountain peaks.

From the south: Tauern motorway - exit Bischofshofen - Schwarzach/St. Veit - Taxenbach - Bruck/Grossglocknerstraße - Fusch/Großglocknerstraße
By train:

Summer resort
Fusch is a hospitable village, set in the nature reserve 'Hohe Tauern'. It offers a stunning network of marked hiking paths and a great variety of mountain bike trails. Furthermore there is a sport centre including tennis courts and an outdoor swimming pool.
Winter resort
Cross-country skiers will find more than 200 km of well prepared trails in the region. In Fusch itself, only 1 ski lift for beginners is available, but the skiing area 'Europa Sport Circuit' is only 5 km away and provides 53 modern lifts and access to 170 km of excellently prepared runs for all levels of ability. Fusch offers a large variety of activities including ice skating, tobogganing, horse sleigh rides or simply hiking through the wintry countryside.
