Summer resort
The southeastern ridge of the 'Nock' mountains makes for a gently rolling landscape - Feldkirchen is an Eldorado for horse-riders and for every walker. On well-marked footpaths you can easily reach the most beautiful excursion destinations: old churches, small sleepy villages or one of the many bathing lakes of the area. The 'Maltsacher' lake, with sunbathing beach and camping place, lies right at your door, as does the idyllic 'Flatschacher' lake. Would you care for more lakes? Yes please! Choose between 'Urbansee', 'Goggausee', 'Haidensee' or the 'Ossiachersee' and 'Wörthersee' (the last two are a few minutes' drive away). There is also a cycle path from Feldkirchen to the 'Ossiachersee'.
Winter resort
The internation ski centres of 'Bad Kleinkirchheim', 'Turracher Höhe' and 'Kanzelhöhe' are easily reachable (30 to 45 minutes in the car). There are more ski lifts in the immediate area (4 to 10 km): 'Gradisch', 'Wachsenberg', 'Gnesau' and 'Simonhöhe'. In addition, there are cross-country ski runs between 5 and 15 km in length, and also a winter toboggan run.
