Bad Mitterndorf is an attractive resort for people of all ages. It has a bracing climate which is mild and even. Three components - climate, thermal waters and medicinal mud help to cure diseases and to regenerate. Besides that Bad Mitterndorf offers a superb selection of different level walks. It is an ideal base for hiking-trips into the mountains close by (Tauplitzalm, Lawinenstein, Grimming) and various other sports and leisure activities such as mountainbiking, climbing, riding, canyoning and fishing.
The skiing area next to Bad Mitterndorf ist the "Tauplitz" (900 - 2000 m). It offers 25 km of pisted runs, most at easy or intermediate level. There are about 55 km of cross country trails in the valley and 21 km of high altitude cross country trails. A toboggan-slide, length 1 km, is lit in the night.
