This village of about 2,000 souls is located right in the heart of the North Tyrolean Alps. 26 quaint little hamlets form the municipality of Leutasch, which is located in the olympic region of Seefeld in a high valley close to the border to Bavaria/Germany.
This village is above all popular due to the typical “Lüftlmalerei”, a handicraft method of wall-painting, which originally comes from Bavaria and Tyrol. This type of paintings involve a fresco-technique applied to freshly laid plaster. A wonderful photo motif!
