General information
Bodensdorf has 3500 inhabitants and is situated 504 m above sea level, in the mountains and close to a lake and a ski resort. The peacefulness of the mountains, the gentle lake coastlines, pure nature and varied leisure opportunities - the whole variety is reflected in the 'Ossiacher See' region, lying in the heart of Carinthia. The 'Ossiacher' lake, the third biggest in Carinthia, is a true paradise for water fun. Those who love mountains can enjoy the the view over Carinthia from the 'Gerlitze' alps.

How to get there
By car:
From Salzburg take the A 10 motorway to the 'Villach-Ossaicher See' exit, then take federal road No. 94 (8-10 km) through Bodensdorf, Steindorf and Tiffen.
From Vienna use the southern motorway and then federal road No. 17.
From Italy take the motorway from Udine, to Tarvis, then to Villach/Ossiacher See.
By train:
Travel to the fast train station at Villach, which has railway connections from Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium and The Netherlands. There is a slow train to Villach-Feldkirchen, where you will find bus connections to all places.
By plane:
Klagenfurt airport (35 km away); connecting flights from Zürich, Frankfurt/Main and Vienna.

Summer resort
The infinitely varied opportunities in Bodensdorf give you a new choice every day, whether you want to undertake a substantial cycle or walking tour, amuse yourself with surfing, sailing, tennis, or on the 'Ossiacher' lake, which contains quality drinking-water. You may simply want to rest your soul or take in the cultural highpoints, such as the Carinthian summer, the 'Villacher Kirchtag' or events at the 'Finkenstein' castle ruins.

Winter resort
High above the 'Ossiacher' lake is one of the classics of Villach's ski mountains. With 14 cable cars and lifts as well as a funpark for snowboarders, it is the biggest winter circus of the area. On the 26 kilometers of piste, the white fun lures skiiers from the beginning of December to Easter.
