St. Leonhard lies in the heart of the Pitz Valley and comprises besides the main town also numerous communities in the Inner Pitz Valley. The impressive panorama of the surrounding 3,000 m mountains, e.g. the Luibiskogel (3,112 m) or the Rofelewand (3,354 m) or also the Windspitze (3,770 m), dominate the high alpine landscape. No matter whether skier, snowboarder, hiker or just nature lover - this area offers something for everyone! Numerous cross-country ski trails weave through the valley and the wonderful landscape can be admired while on a snowshoe hike. The various small villages provide a friendly and familiar ambience which makes everybody feel comfortable. Many cafés, bars and restaurants further ensure a diverse afternoon and evening entertainment programme.

Recommendations for travel St. Leonhard

Various apres ski bars and rustic taverns offer fun and variety after a day of skiing. The first mulled wine of the day can already be enjoyed on the sun terrace of one of the ski lodges. In St. Leonhard itself, bars, restaurants and discos with names like "Hexenkessel" of "Pfiff" invite you to spend an enjoyable evening. Sporty alternatives to skiing the pistes are hiking tracks and toboggan runs. An absolute highlight is climbing the 30 m high ice tower named "Big Ben", which is located alongside the Rifflseebahn valley station. However, the Pitz Valley offers many more harmless activities, e.g. ice skating or curling.
