The municipality of Tschagguns is located in the the picturesque Gauer Valley in Vorarlberg. The village centre is situated at an altitude of 685 m above sea level, but the the municipality comprises several hamlets up to an altitude of 1,200 m. Approx.
2,500 people live in the mountain village in the magnificent scenery of the Rätikon mountains. The end of the valley with the "three towers" of the Drusenfluh group is considered one of the most beautiful of the eastern Alps.
Tschagguns is situated in the heart of Montafon between the two towns Schruns and Golm at the foot of the Tschaggunser Mittagsspitze (2,168 m). The lifts for the ski areas Golm and Silvretta Montafon are only a couple of kilometres away. Several hotels and
guest houses will provide you with a cosy place to stay. The local landmark - the Marien-Wallfahrtskirche built in the 15th century - is located on hill. You can take a stroll in the neighbouring main town of the Montafon area Schruns to enjoy the historical
old town. Many big events are organised here, such as the World Cup Montafon with international live acts. Tschagguns also has a train station, where you can take a train to Schruns.
