                General information
The Baroque town of Schaerding lies 313 m above sea level and has 5050 residents. The lovely town is conveniently located in Upper Austria's Innviertel region, in the immediate vicinity of Bavaria. Among the highlights and most interesting sights ranks the renowned Silberzeile lane right at the heart of the old town where a great many Baroque-style trader buildings can be found. The colorful appearance of the houses is rooted in the colors of the respective guilds (butchers read, innkeepers yellow and green, bakers blue etc.).
