Au lies in the upper reaches of Bregenzer Ache at a height of 800 m and is one of the most important tourist areas in Austria. Several leisure activities are available to guests in this region. The various, small and large ski areas in Begenzerwald, the numerous cross-country tracks and winter hiking trails are very popular here. Further possibilities include sleigh-rides in the moonlight, ice-skating or a torch-lit hike through the snowy winter landscape.
