Flachau

At an altitude of 920 m in the heart of Salzburger Land, lies Flachau, where the pistes are already drenched in sun in the early morning hours. The home of world champions Hermann Maier (skiing) and Manuela Riegler (snowboarding) is not just the venue for the alpine ski world cup, but a great destination for those active during the day and night too! The resort offers a comprehensive tourism infrastructure and the "Gemütlichkeit" of a typical mountain village. During the day you can kill time shopping, sunbathing on the sun terraces or by taking part in any of the countless sports activities such as tennis or tobogganing. Evenings you can head off to the clubs, bars and numerous ski lodges for a good time until the wee hours. "Snow Space Flachau" was even chosen as the world's most innovative winter tourism concepts!
