About Oberperfuss - presentation, information, photos and recommendations

Oberperfuss - fantastic holidays in the heart of Tyrol!

A panoramic view over the Inn Valley, traditional village charm and nativeness - this is what makes the mountain village Oberperfuss what it is. At an altitude of 812 m, with its local mountain the Rangger Köpfl (1,939 m) and its proximity to Innsbruck, it is a great holiday destination for winter sports fans. If you want to spend your holiday away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist spots, this is the perfect place with its family-friendly size ski area directly on the doorstep. Oberperfuss may be small with its 3,000 inhabitants, but from a culinary and sporty point of view, it has a lot to offer. A hiking paradise with 184 km of winter hiking trails can be found right there and a 10 km natural toboggan run makes for good fun away from the pistes. In the evenings, holiday makers can enjoy regional specialities made from local produce.

Ski
With the "Rangger Köpfl" ski pass, you have access to 13 kilometres of pistes, which extend over an altitude difference of approx. 1,200 metres. The small, family-friendly ski area is located about 15 km west of Innsbruck. Particularly recommended is the scenic nine kilometre long descent from Rangger Köpfl to Stiglreith. Easy to medium-difficulty pistes, which are perfectly groomed, also appeal to skiers who are not yet absolutely sure of their position on the boards.

Families benefit from the relatively flat pistes, the first turns can be practised in the "Kids Park" with the magic carpet at Rangger Köpfl. Freestylers will get their money's worth in a small soft fun park.

In Oberperfuss there are cosy mountain huts, bars, and taverns in which a successful day can festively fade away. Anyone wanting to top off their day's skiing with sports activities can take part in night skiing twice a week. Furthermore, the village has a 10 km long tobogganing run, and the breathtaking landscape can be savoured on countless winter hiking trails. Or try exploring the area on snowshoes!

Party enthusiasts looking for more options and culture buffs should head to Innsbruck, approx. 15 km away. Tyrol's capital offers a plethora of clubs, discos, and trendy bars, as well as a wide variety of theatres, cinemas, museums, restaurants and concerts.

The Inn Valley has very good cross-country skiing opportunities. Oberperfuss itself has around 6 km of trails, of which the longest stretch already measures at 2 km. In neighbouring Gries im Sellrain, the 4 km long illuminated trail makes night cross-country skiing possible. The Sellrain Valley offers many further kilometres of trails. In the Lüsens-Praxmar area you can enjoy a marvellous winter backdrop with a view of the glacier, and in Kühtai you can train on high-altitude trails from 2,020 m.

A total of approx. 87 km of track are available in the Olympia Skiworld Innsbruck region. The possibilities are rounded off by very well equipped cross-country skiing schools and equipment hire companies.

The cross-country trails in Rinn, Obstein, Mutters/Natters and Sellrain are awarded with a seal of quality.
