Summer resort
As a guest in Innsbruck and its 15 holiday villages (Igls, Aldrans, Rinn, Lans, Sistrans, Ampass, Patsch, Ellbögen, Mutters, Natters, Götzens, Birgitz, Axams, Grinzens und Rum) we invite you to take part in the free passtime of mountain walking in and around Innsbruck. Innsbruck is famous for its moutains, in which you can walk in the summer and ski in the winter. The mountain range is perfect for an active holiday in the fresh air. Wander around and experience the magnificent beauty of the mountain scenery: a mountain guide from the world-famous alpine school of Innsbruck (ASI) and a walking bus are waiting for you. And this is all free with the BERGWANDERPROGRAMM INNSBRUCK. No town in the whole world offers such a program with this mountain scenery and these conditions! Alongside these magnificent walks, Ellbögen offers a diverse range of sport and leisure activities: why not try your hand at paragliding, hangliding or rock climbing?!
Winter resort
The OLYMPIA SKIWELT INNSBRUCK is an Eldorado for skiers, snowboarders, carvers, off-piste skiers and cross-country skiers, and offers everything: gentle slopes for beginners, steep slopes for the advanced, extreme runs for professionals, comfort for families, fun for children, the promise of good snowfall and a free skibus throughout the whole season. The extended ski-lift and mountain train network stretches into 8 ski regions, with 200 lifts and over 500 km of perfectly prepared pistes, numerous tour routes and deep snow runs.
Besides fun in the snow, Ellbögen has much to offer to its guests: walks through the unspoilt village give the visitor an impression of Ellbögen's lively tradition and confirm the feeling of true contentment. The surrounding farmers sell homemade, pure and natural products. On the pastures and trails in close valleys, such as the 'Arztal' or the 'Viggartal', nature-lovers have the opportunity to enjoy the extremely romantic Tyorlean cultural landscape - and all this throughout the year.
