Location/Facilities

The 4-Star Hotel Sonngastein lies quietly at the edge of the district of Bad Gastein. The hotel's shuttle bus takes you comfortably into the ski area. The centre of Bad Gastein with its numerous shops and restaurants is located approx. 1.5 km away. The personal-run family hotel offers you a hotel lobby with wifi and a connected and tasteful fire place parlour, lift, newly equipped restaurant and a ski room with ski boot warmers. A sports and a relaxation programme is offered here for young and old. The hotel's adventure hall ensures fun for the little ones, there is also a playing paradise (approx. 1600 m²) with giant wave slide, trampoline area, etc. Further, a professional child/youth care is offered from Monday to Friday (09:30 - 16:30 and on request from 17:00 - 19:00). Furthermore, the hotel has its own natural ice rink with curling rink (approx. 1, 500 m²), hotel cinema "Die Pupille" as well as an attractive week programme with ski gymnastics, yoga, piano evening, winter hiking, etc. The use of the brand new sauna landscape and spa area with Finnish sauna, organic steam bath, thermal indoor pool (approx. 30 °C), approx. 33 to 34 °C hot outdoor pools, great, luxurious panoramic relaxation area with beds and water beds, infrared sauna with colour-light therapy, steam bath, VIP adventure shower and hair dryer room is possible free of charge. Free Parking spaces as well as parking garages for a fee are based on availability.

Furnishing/Board
The individually furnished rooms combine comfortability and cosiness and offer a bath or shower/wc, satellite TV, telephone, radio, safe (incl.), internet access (payable locally), hair dryer, bathrobe for hire for adults and a balcony. The half board PLUS included in the travel costs comprises a rich breakfast buffet, light afternoon buffet (cold and warm, 15:30 - 17:30) as well as a 4-course evening meal with a big salad buffet. 2x per week a theme buffet takes place, 1x per week a gala dinner, 3x per week a cheese buffet and 1x per week a "Strudel". A Christmas meal (24/12), celebration meal on the 25/12 and 26/12 as well as a New year's eve gala dinner (31/12) with live music, fireworks and lead casting and New year's festive meal (01/01/13) are also included. During the time between the 12/01 and the 26/01/13 and between the 30/03 and the 06/04/13 all drinks are sold for half price (payable locally).
